Abstract:

Laurette Goldberg discusses her Jewish family background and education; harpsichord study with Gustav Leonhardt and Ralph Kirkpatrick; being on the faculty of San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of California, Berkeley; 1750 Arch Street; founding the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra; MusicSources; various early music festivals; and issues of career, marriage, and family.
tapes 1-22 are of the interviews. Tape 23 is a performance titled "House concert" from December 1979.
